Sligo County is located in Ireland’s north-west in the province of Connacht. Although a small county, it is steeped in culture and beautiful scenery, which provided the inspiration for much of W.B. Carrowmore cemetery located north-west of Sligo town, is the largest megalithic cemetery in Ireland and one of the oldest in Europe.
